The Minister Falah Mustafa meets the Kurdish community of Trentino-Alto Adige Region at the Representation of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Italy
Today, Minister Falah Mustafa, together with Mrs. Rezan Kader, has met with a delegation of the Kurdish community living in Trentino-Alto Adige Region at the Representation of Kurdistan Regional Government in Italy.
The delegation expressed to the Head of the Department of foreign affairs of KRG the problems of the Kurdish community in South Tyrol: the possibility to have a school to allow the teaching of the Kurdish language to their children; the possibility for Kurdish Cultural association DIACO to have a financial support to organize socio - cultural activities for the Kurdish community residing in South Tyrol, such as the dissemination of a periodical magazine and the organization of events that can promote the knowledge of the Region of Kurdistan from an economic, cultural and touristic point of view.
The representatives of the Kurdish community in the South Tyrol Region have then talked about the political situation in the region of Kurdistan and the extreme importance of Kurdish community resident in Europe and in particular in Italy in the creation of a new Kurdistan. For this reason, the delegation asked Minister Falah thinking of how to make the most of the Kurdish community residing outside of Kurdistan and which role it can play in order to strengthen the relationship with the Government.
The Minister Falah stated that the Kurdish community residing abroad must be an important point of reference in order to make known the Kurdish people, its history and culture increasingly. Therefore, we must be concern of the Government to assist them and empower them at any level in the most appropriate manner.
